What makes us special is that weve always been family-owned, Haeger Estes says. When the companys founder died in 1900, the brick manufacturer already had begun producing simple red pots for the florist trade. Haegers son Edmund brought an artistic vision to the family enterprise and in 1912 launched a glazed artware collection that eventually helped turn Haeger Bricks into Haeger Potteries. Through the years, a succession of artists have helped design the companys artware, with stylized pieces ranging from figurines and vases to candlesticks and bookends. The most notable was Royal Hickman, who from 1938 to the early 1950s created Haeger pieces in the popular Royal Haeger line. Up until then, we were producing mostly lamps and vases in pleasing and classic shapes, Haeger Estes says. Royal Hickman brought us into a flamboyant stage with his daring designs. One of his most iconic designs was a statue of a sleek black panther, introduced in 1941, still made today, and sold for about $50. In recent decades, Haeger Potteries has focused on making products that are both beautiful and useful, such as vases, bowls and trays. Its functional artware includes pieces created for the Frank Lloyd Wright Museum Shop in Chicago, as well as for large retailers such as Macys, J.C. Penney, and Crate & Barrel.

Autumn Cooking Giveaway, Pampered Chef – Katherines Corner

But, before I share this tasty {and easy} recipe, let me back up for one moment. One of my high school friends, Janica, is currently working towards a few awards and recognitions with Pampered Chef. Her ultimate goal is to stay at home with her two little boys and work her Pampered Chef business full-time. When she asked me to host an online party, of course I said yes! For being a host, I received this wonderful recipe collection book for the fall/winter 2012 season. That is where I found this soup recipe which I am sharing with you all today! If you are interested in placing an order with Pampered Chef, not only to support Janica but also get a few Christmas gifts marked off your list {I mean, who doesnt love their products!?!?!}, please use the following order information: Go to Janicas website: http://www.pamperedchef.biz/janica Click on Shop Online Enter Jennifer Cassellius as the host The party will be open, and you will be able to order online {orders shipped directly to your home!}, until October 14th And guess what? There is a great perk available to party guests this month {you will need to order through a party to be considered a guest and take advantage of this guest special}! Guests that order through my online party will receive a free micro-cooker with any order over $75. Woot woot! Just make sure to add the free micro-cooker to your order {it does not get added automatically, in other words}. Now, onto the recipe! This Chicken Parmesan soup is made in the Pampered Chef Deep Covered Baker and entirely in the microwave {say, what?!?!}. When I asked Janica what HER number one, most used, most loved product was, the Deep Covered Baker was her answer. I love that it can go from the microwave to the oven. Along with this recipe for Chicken Parmesan Soup, there is actually an entire cookbook filled with recipes that you can make right in this Deep Covered Baker, all ready in under 30 minutes or less! This particular soup recipe also boasts a $2 cost. Feed your family for around $2 per serving! Pampered Chefs Chicken Parmesan Soup Ingredients 1/4 of a 16-oz loaf French bread 2 tbsp olive oil 1 1/2 cups unsalted chicken stock 2 cups marinara sauce 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes with garlic and onion, undrained 2 1/2 cups diced cooked chicken breasts 3 garlic cloves 1 oz fresh Parmesan cheese 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided Directions 1. Cut bread into 3/4 inch cubes using the Color Coated Bread Knife . You should have about 2 cups of cubes when finished. 2. Toss bread cubes, oil, and 1 tbsp of the rub into the Deep Covered Baker . 3. Microwave bread cubes, uncovered, on HIGH 3-4 minutes or until they begin to brown {stirring every minute}. Spread croutons over a piece of parchment paper to cool. 4. Stir stock, remaining 2 tbsp rub, marinara sauce, tomatoes, chicken, and garlic pressed with the Garlic Press into the baker. 5. Microwave, covered, on HIGH 11-13 minutes or until soup is hot. 6. Grate Parmesan using Microplane Adjustable Fine Grater. 7. Carefully remove baker from microwave and stir in Parmesan. 8. Top soup with half of the mozzarella and sprinkle with half of the croutons. Top with remaining mozzarella. 9. Let stand, covered, 2-3 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve soup with remaining croutons. Pampered Chefs Cook Tips Garlic Oil can be substituted for the olive oil, if desired Unsalted stock was used in this recipe because it is a fast and easy way to give the soup concentrated chicken flavor without adding too much salt Croutons can be stored at room temperature in an airtight container or resealable plastic bag for 3 to 5 days. Make extra and save them for leftover soup or a salad!
